As I read your comment what flashed in my mind was the image of the late, great John Belushi in “Animal House” (1978) shaming his fellow Delta brothers for their despondency and lethargy.

If you recall the scene, Brother Bluto was able to energize his brotherhood into action.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it.

Except that the brothers were despondent and lethargic, and Belushi did indeed energize them.

So, totally unlike this situation.
