Being of a momentary offensive mind, my puny inclination though, was to critique the concept differences around governance between Rome, then, (and even Schwab) versus the American Republic / vs. Democracy, now.

“Of the people, by the people, for the people” does seem to ring pretty hollow, in a post-Christian nation.
It’s the people who have changed.
Laxity is Epic. Laxity toward “God and Country”, naturally, has always seeded and eventually reaped decline, according to “Biblical” history. Thus, seasons and cycles, goodness and evil are real, as our teaching God allows.
All that to say that Election 2024 is in the cross hairs, certainly when both parties are fiercely bent on guaranteeing No Election at all, before they see D.J. Trump as the nominee.
