You’re bound to catch some flak for that. But it’s a very good point. Trump alienated a lot of soccer moms. Sad, but true. I say this from talking to many of them. They are sorta, kinda conservative. But they are missing the big picture. Trump lost them, and it will be difficult to get them back.

Those “soccer moms”, if true to their stereotype, were not Trump voters to begin with. Although I suspect that many of them did vote for him in 2020, what with that very high figure of real votes he got. And we can speculate how many “soccer moms” (presuming them to be a significant demographic and not an outdated media creation) are attending Trump’s rallies today . . .

Yep. I love Trump but not sure I could stress my way though another election with him.

biden didn’t have to campaign the last time around because of the covid excuse. The only time people had a chance to hear the clown was during the debates. Trump wouldn’t shut up for long enough for anyone to hear what brain-dead biden had to say. Instead, he talked over him and was bullish. It didn’t help one bit.

It’s just like attacking Colin Powell on the day he died. Why? Why say anything? He’s done this far too many times. The unpredictability of another run would wear me out.

I think DeSantis has 75% chance of winning in 2024. If it's Trump, then 45%.

Bottom line for soccer moms is their children and their wallets. Dem policies are endangering the firs and emptying the second.

Even if they can’t bring themselves to vote for Trump, they are very likely to withhold their vote from whatever puppet the Dems install on their ticket.

A lot of it depends on where their paycheck comes from. Women with jobs in HR, government and education, foundations and NGO’s vote blue because it’s their paycheck.

But if you work in the real economy and are trying to keep your family and home safe and together in suburbia, the leftist schtick is really starting to grate.

Soccer moms as a concept has ceased to exist. Now, that kind of mom no longer has the luxury of being a distinct class, but are struggling with gasoline prices and inflation like everyone else.

I know several GOPers who report that they will not vote for Trump again (DW among them). Emotion over logic, perhaps? Yup, but a politician can only make supporters shake their heads so many times.

Me, I'll support vigorously and vote (in person) for whomever wins the GOP nom.

In the meantime, I'm planning on voting in my Great State's primary for DeSantis (Yale, Harvard grad, Navy Vet (Bronze star, among other decs), courageous yet diplomatic (in the Reagan mold.)

You mean the soccer moms who are paying $4/gallon for gas?
The one’s who’ve watched their grocery bills triple while they’ve cut back on what they buy?
The one’s who can no longer afford their spa day?
The one’s... you get the idea.
With those women the pocketbook is Queen and when the Queen ain’t happy something WILL change.
