When President Donald Trump takes the stage at a major conservative conference in Dallas on Saturday he will likely have just received a boost to his 2024 plans in the form of a straw poll that will almost certainly rank him as the clear favorite among attendees.
But that is not the end of the story as far as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose star has been on the rise this year.
Attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference want him first to continue the work he is doing in Florida before taking up the national MAGA torch in the 2028 election.

Stock market and 401k are still holding on. Home prices in many areas are skyrocketing. Gas and inflation suck but in general the middle class people in my orbit here in Florida are not “unhappy.” It’s way more roaring 20’s here than Carter 1970’s.
We all justifiably hate Brandon but a lot of folks don’t. They are apolitical. It’s a mistake to put our opinions onto others when they don’t think like we do.
Governors matter.
Either Trump or Desantis will make excellent presidents.
My ideal ticket for 2024 would be Trump/Kari Lake since Trump polls lighter with women.Lake could pump those numbers up.

Pence turned out to be awful. I think he knows that.
I also think he is in the best position to navigate the swamp this time, because he fully knows, and fully expects the entire DC crowd to be corrupt and will sell him out as they did last time.
I love it when people say how bad his hires were, and how terrible he was at that. Because none of us, not even Trump, knew just how bad it really was.
Sure, there were murmerings, mostly on the crazy size (Alex Jones), but so many of us never knew HOW BAD IT REALLY WAS. Some here say they did, I don't believe most of them. Most are changing their own thought history.
The best thing Trump ever did, was to inadvertently show us all how effed up this really became.
Now that Brandon and his cabal are in, it's obvious. The hard leftists rule, and want it to stay that way. Thank God they aren't really Gods, and are simply too stupid, too inept, and too enamored with evil to understand that.

Yep. Brandon gets a return ticket to the White House the minute Trump announces he is running for reelection. Brandon's voters are not really his fans but so far the coalition is holding and it will hold if Trump runs again. If DeSantis runs, Brandon's coalition may start to fall apart. Young voters and soccer moms are not wild about Brandon so we can pry them away. Trump runs, Brandon voters vote against Trump and the mainstream media will be able to mobilize them to do that.
Trump has a good chance to win in 2024 but it will be tough. He will have to run a smart campaign. He is not running against Hillary Clinton so he will have to approach the election differently.
