Aug. 4—A jury found a Dayton man guilty Wednesday in a gunpoint robbery in February at a carryout.
Timothy C. Lewis, 38, was "on triple probation" in three criminal cases at the time of the Feb. 15 robbery at the Delphos Carryout, 2903 W. Third St., according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.
He will be sentenced Aug. 15 following his conviction for two counts of aggravated robbery and one counts of grand theft — motor vehicle.
Lewis was inside the victim's vehicle when Dayton police found it following the robbery. Lewis had the victim's wallet when he was arrested, the prosecutor's office said.
At the time of the armed robbery, Lewis was on probation in three other criminal cases. He was convicted of possession of heroin in June 2018 and was given probation. He was then convicted of aggravated possession of drugs in April 2019 and was granted Intervention in Lieu of Conviction (ILC). In September 2020 he was convicted of aggravated robbery. His ILC was revoked and he was placed on probation for all three cases.
After the jury's verdict was announced in the latest case, a motion was made to revoke the defendant's bond, but it was denied by the court, the prosecutor's office stated.

Dean Wormer: Put him on Triple Secret Probation.
Maybe the mean old judge will put him on probation again
Republicans keep talking about all the criminals with a long history of violent crimes.
I just don't understand what all the fuss is about.
And I just don't understand why any criminal should ever be arrested for anything at all. Sure, police can maybe hand out speeding tickets but that's about it. I see no reason why police should intervene in criminal activity. After all, crime is the criminals' business, not the police's business. Stick to giving out speeding tickets. And "Stay in your lane!"

Recidivism poster boy
We’ll show them..We will put them on quad probation......Annnnd then we will lie to the morons that we are fighting crime
Judges must be held liable for these criminals, period. They enable criminals by letting them loose repeatedly ? They should be charged alongside them as an accomplice.
Prolly double-dared
He was good in at least one Dirty Harry movie and the outlaw Josie Wales.
When the government doesn’t do its God ordained responsibility of protecting its citizenry, we the people must take that up.
Probation no longer means anything.
If it meant anything, he would have been in prison after his second conviction, and there would have been no bail after his arrest.
Not likely ... after all, the judge was kind enough not to even revoke his bond ...
it only took one post
Yep.
Judicial reform must include making judges accountable personally.
Eliminating a DC court system-—it’s not a state, and shouldn’t be entitled to state privileges.
Allowing appeals/trials with VERY little resistance outside the “crime” venue (i.e., the Alex Jones problem).
