“Why would you quit voting Republican when it’s only because the rest of the Republicans are holding firm on the filibuster that this won’t pass.”
Oh, stop making sense (as a band once said).
When the Build Back Better bill passed in the House a while back we had at least one Freeper who showed up and blamed passage on ‘RINOs’. This, in spite of the fact that not a single House Republican voted for the bill (and in spite of the fact there is no filibuster in the House).
Out of the 50 Republican Senators, an unverified rumor that two will support codifying Roe is enough to make the Doomers start foaming at the mouth.
I’m absolutely convinced that there are people here addicting to losing. They need the democrats to win to blame for everything wrong in their miserable lives, never mind the damage that the democrats do to the rest of us in the meantime.
With divided government, or a Republican trifecta, politics becomes boring and hate-porn is less fulfilling.
The trailer park crowd needs the democrats, so they use every opportunity to bash republicans and hope for continued democrat control.
It’s a trap. They are trying to fool you into despising Murkowski and Collins. And it’s working too. /s

They are co-sponsors. If they didn’t vote for it, they’d be voting against their own bill. I mean, it’s been done before, but it is very rare.
Indeed. This post is more of the same old soup warmed over. This does not have the votes to pass - the Democrats have the majority - they do not need Republican votes if it could pass without a filibuster. This would not even be brought up for a vote if the GOP was in charge. We just had another big string of SCOTUS victories that could not have occurred but for Republican Senate control, and these people are still "done" with the GOP and claiming it doesn't make any difference. Logic and reality don't apply to these people.
