Yes, Rusty. He’s about a 15 minute drive. I was over there this afternoon. He was having his pond dug out, deepened, and enlarged a bit. I thought it was pretty big now, but he LOVES making a huge rink in the winter. They have lots of trees and land around them to walk the dogs (3 labs). She’s all ready for the baby. I couldn’t think of what to buy them, but I struck baby gift gold today lol. Seeing as they like to walk all around the property (and adjoining fields) I asked her if she had a sleigh for the baby. Her face lit up, as she had not thought of that. So I came home and ordered a very nice one, made in Canada, with the back on it and the lining pads and a seat belt. She’s going to love it. I bought one for the eldest girl 13 years ago, and they pulled her all over the farm in that thing. I’m glad I thought of it - didn’t want to just add to the diaper collection. I’ll have to pull out the ol’ knitting needles and whip up a Nordic knit sweater with matching toque and mittens as well.
What a great gift! I’m glad they live close, you’ll get to visit your new granddaughter often.
A sleigh? As in, they’ll push/pull the sweet babe around, on ice/snow?
Trying to picture one!
Sounds adorable.
