Parole Board chairman : Not a pretty name, is it H.I.?
H.I. : No, sir. That’s one bonehead name, but that ain’t me any more.
Parole Board chairman : You’re not just telling us what we want to hear?
H.I. : No, sir, no way.
Parole Board member : ‘Cause we just want to hear the truth.

Yeah, exactly. That woman’s blood is on these guys’ hands too. But you know, they probably won’t even have the decency to resign.
Nobody’s resigned in Uvalde, have they? I know the Police Chief gave up the Council seat (whatever it actually is) but pretty sure the others prevailed on him to do that.
That convo probably went like this: The whole town is going to be here for every single meeting if you remain on the Board, and you know we can’t have THAT.
