Cool. Yeah, a lot of technological advances in the furnaces, presses, lathes, mills, ... etc in the manufacturing process. I browsed several web sources to prepare for the post above and was astonished to see the advancement on the application side as well. One of the techniques I read was about using sputtering to record results from spectroscopy experiments. Who thinks of these kinds of things???

Engineers from really good schools. ;)
But the software that controls that? I know how to control that software and make it part of a grand network representing the entire plant and the people running the plant have ALL the information from each station in one central graphical user interface.
We also did Samsung’s 52” LCD plant.
