The old guy that wrote How to Grow World Record Tomatoes, IIRC, lived in Georgia. We followed his methods for deck plantings in wine barrel halves and I literally almost needed to fight back with a weedeater. Standard tomato plants grew to ~17-18 feet tall and yielded close to if not over 200 pounds and the cherry tomatoes were everywhere, they were sprouting in job lots all over the place for a couple years after as volunteers.

As you probably know, the U.S. military has given serious consideration to Asimov's Laws of Robotics for their possible application in autonomous robots. (NOTE: "Autonomous" in this context means the robot can make its own decision to kill an enemy combatant.)

It turns out the Laws don't work so well. Much like in Asimov's books, it is impossible for robots to reliably identify enemies or make life-or-death decisions. False flags or false uniforms make it even harder on the robots.

Personally, I believe this limitation of robotic discernment will never change, as humans are informed in their decisions by psychological, moral and especially spiritual factors that will NEVER be available to robots.

On the other hand, autonomous robots ARE NECESSARY in the context of war. For example, a hypersonic missile coming at an aircraft carrier at 15,000 MPH can only be defended by an A.I.-directed defense, probably some form of laser, microwave or particle beam.

The same dynamic will apply in almost every other field. For example, human bearing fighter aircraft such as F-35s will be accompanied into the theater of war by dozens or perhaps hundreds of autonomous jet-powered drones, which are intended to extend the sensor network possibly hundreds of miles, and be the first (preferably only) aircraft to engage the enemy.

ROBOTS will be making KILL DECISIONS. This is inevitable given the human predilection for war. They are intrinsically so lethal that if we don't do it, someone else surely will.
