Besides, people have been having children when times were worse than they are now. Much worse. And we are descendants of those people who, in spite of the situation that they lived in, decided to have kids.

Yeah but back then we would grow up to become young adults, reproduce then we would die. Life expectancy was rather short back then.

Now we live to be 60, 70, 80, 90 years old. And we get to control whether we want to reproduce at all. And many of us are not interested in it. In the past, that was not really a choice.

That’s the truth. My mom had babies between 18-40, and they were not planned.
