Even after the engine was shut off, their still might be enough heat being given off for quite a time, though maybe it might not be enough for a missile or something like that to lock onto. Not sure about stuff like that. Other then it takes my car a good half hour or so after shutting it off before you can check the antifreeze level.

During desert storm I and Ii, the tanks in the desert would retain the solar heat from the day and be sitting ducks before they eventually cooled off. EV wouldn’t change a thing.
