We do adopt, looking at a sibling group and they are the hardest to place. The oldest is 12 and is almost blind in one eye, they want to be placed together. ConservaTeen, and his gf, wants us to adopt an infant. GF is 21, and said that she wold love to practice, before they get their own.

There are no babies to adopt. That’s why the white, gay couple from Modern Family is depicted adopting an Asian child old enough to go on play dates, instead of an American baby. Hollywood would be the last to put aside the pro-abortion propaganda you just fell for, but they knew that the show would be ridiculous if they showed a couple adopting an American baby. But you can’t adopt a Vietnamese baby like that gay couple, because even the Vietnamese had enough of American childless couples desperately trying to adopt anyone they could.

A lot of pro-abortion propagandists point to the existence of foster children. But the states actually mandate that children who would be adopted first go through the foster-child program. The average foster child spends nearly a year and a half in foster care, which isn’t so much when you consider the adoption process (during which the child is technically in foster care) takes over a year.

217,000 children (out of 60 million nationally) are in foster care... including those in the process of adoption. (My math says that must leaves less that 80,000 NOT in the process of adoption, including those who ARE in the process of adoption but whose adoption won’t work out for some reason... but I’m deriving this from comparing the average time to adoption, 1 year, to the average time in the foster progran, 1 1/2 years.) Five percent in foster care will be in foster care for five or more years, mostly children whose criminal or health issues prevent them from being placed in more permanent homes.
