Back when I was much younger, I read and heard some stories about the development of a Neutron bomb. A bomb when detonated only killed life and did not knock down buildings and the like.
I’m not sure if that ever became a reality and for this discussion I’m too lazy to do a web search to find out. However a Neutron bomb has a time and most definitely a place…yes I can stomach it.
The neutron bomb was developed and perfected. We never put it in our inventory. Russia probably has.
It’s long overdue. I can not only stomach it, I would cheer it.
In August of 1977 - on the 32nd anniversary of the dropping of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki - a friend and I got a police permit to erect a stand and distribute leaflets in front of the municipal library promoting the use of the Neutron Bomb.
(A week or so earlier, a different group had demonstrated there against nuclear weapons, so we argued to the Police that we were entitled to present an opposing opinion.)
It was hilarious!
