So there’s been no discussion of the diabetic comorbidity details. And pardon the extreme lack of supporting info, but I recall reading a clinical report that raised concerns about ACE2 inhibitors and expression related to the treatment of diabetes.
IIRC, SARS basically suffocates the blood cells. Diabetes involves the slow the death of organs. I’m not seeing a direct connection... unless the typical diabetic medication creates fertile ground for SARS.
Regarding intubation, I recall the recurring statements that only 25% survive that phase. A clumsy approach to misdiagnosed symptoms?
