But we’re not suppose to challenge the messenger just accept the message because we like what it says.

The ultra Leftist RFK Jr. anti-vaxxer OG has learned all can be forgiven if you say what the people want to hear.

If a proud Abortion Doctor came out and said he notices blood clots in aborted fetuses from women that were vaccinated…………the sad part of this hypothetical is, the anti-vax kooks would believe him and post his findings.

If he had a website, they’d give that Doctor plenty of clicks.
Anyone criticizing their new found hero, would be called a Troll, Shill, unbeliever.
After all the Abortion Doctor would risk his career and license for speaking out, they would say and have said.

It’s truly a new cult.

Someone looking for a Thesis topic and paper to write has a target fresh environment.

Re: “But we’re not suppose to challenge the messenger just accept the message because we like what it says.”

Sad but true. And such hypocrits, too. If anyone posts anything they don’t like, the poster is attacked for his or her “lefty” sources (includes AP, Reuters, any major newspaper, any television network including Fox News, etc. and even studies published in respected peer-reviewed medical journals). No refutation of the actual content is ever offered, just attacks on the the source and the person who posted it. The poster is automatically labelled a “lib”, a” “lefty”, a “troll”, a “$hot$hill” etc.

I completely understand questioning *any* source, including the MSM. I do, too! But apparently, the only sources some people trust are grifter sites like The Daily Expose, The NOQ Report, Steve Kirsch, etc. All others are automatically dismissed unread.

We’re all subject to confirmation bias, and even when we’re aware of it and do our best to guard against it, we do still tend to more readily believe whatever confirms what we already believe or want to believe. But when you just swallow unsubstantiated “information” from some yahoo whose credibility has already been seriously called into question and who has previously touted ridiculous conspiracy theories, well, ya got a problem there.

Naomi Wolf being a case in point. She has been called out by her peers for shoddy research resulting in false conclusions in her own supposed field of expertise (radical feminism and her last book was so riddled with errors her publisher had to pulp all copies. On top of that, she claimed that ghastly ISIS video showing them beheading the two Americans and two British was a fake created by the CIA and the poor headless guys and their families were all actors, and that American military sent to Africa to help out during the Ebola outbreak were actually being sent there to bring Ebola back to the US to start an epidemic here and topple the government. Yet we’re supposed to automatically believe everything this woman says?

One could also write a thesis on confirmation bias. How many threads have been posted here about someone dying and immediately there are lots of replies about the vaccine being responsible for the death? Recently, there was a football player who died of a fentanyl overdose, followed by another who died in a fall involving a slippery rock pile known to be dangerous. But no, they died of “the vaxx”.

And ref the abortion doctor scenario, I fear you are right about that, too :(

Is it truly a new cult? At least here on FR, it’s an offshoot of the Q cult. They’re the ones who posted most of the threads from The Daily Expose, etc., to start with, and mainly the ones who ferociously defend such notions as: the “clot shots” are over 99% graphene oxide, and also contain magnetic nanobots, wiggly wormy little parasites, itty bitty razor blades, King Cobra venom, HIV virus, malaria parasites, and on and on. How they fit all that in the remaining less than 1% is beyond me. Yes, they’ve taken other Freepers along for the ride, but it seems to just be another Q thing that was allowed to proliferate outside the Special Q Thread to me. At least here.

They conned some other Freepers with that Sham Wow Guy Ashi Babbitt video they kept posting on the main board, too. The one claiming she wasn’t really dead, the blood was fake, she and the EMS were all “crisis actors”, the window she climbed was a fake “movie set” window installed by the FBI the night before, etc. It’s not just the “clot shot” stuff.
