31% of CA owned by China... that’s so depressing.
The 31% is misleading and vague. 31% of total U.S. property investment by Chinese citizens is in California. The percentages are percentage of Chinese property investment in that particular state. Plus of that 31% in California investment 52% is for primary single detached family residence. But it does show that the rumors that the Chinese favor California and help push home prices even higher than they are, thus pricing out Americans are true. California politicians, more than Chinese are the cause for unaffordable housing IMO, but the subject was U.S. Property Investment by Chinese taking a lead from DeSantis’ speech about this topic.
