You seem to forget that Tucker Carlson played the whole exchange between Nuland and Rubio on his show.
There is no chance in hell we'd put up with Russia or China funding such labs in Mexico. If they were, we'd take military action to destroy them as well we should.

No one is denying Ukraine had/has Bio Labs, as do ALL 1st World countries.
Finland, Brazil, France, Argentina, Iceland, etc, etc. all have Bio Labs.
You Putin fans keep acting as if it’s a big surprise and as if the Labs were a Secret, they were not.

It’s against the Law by act of Congress to research certain pathogens in the U.S.
Ebola, and SARS viruses are two for example.
So in order to research these extremely deadly pathogens the U.S. contracts out to countries that do allow such research.
France does the same thing, which is why they were involved at Wuhan also.
Now, tell me you don’t want other countries to help us research some of the worse viruses in the world.
Because if we stop, do you really believe Iran won’t do such research and be ahead of us one day?
Or China, or your beloved Russia?
Do you really think North Korea doesn’t research how to make Ebola less dangerous to use but still deadly to use as a weapon?
If we stop researching, our enemies can deliver a pathogen to us that will make SARS look like a fluffy kitten.
And we won’t have a clue how to combat it.
