I’m hoping so. I planted a little late. The vines appear to be thriving. I am hopeful. In the South, the whole watermelons and black people thing doesn’t make sense (nor does the fried chicken thing, maybe,... but they do get really into it ...).

We had that type of weather in Georgia a couple weeks ago. it would be 98 degrees with a heat index of 112 or so. The humidity was wicked and you felt as if you were smothering when you went outside. It was miserable and more like our usual August weather. This past week has been back to just the normal 90 to 94 degree heat.

Yes, these temps are hot and persistent, even for a Texas summer. That combined with the ongoing drought is making it very tough to raise cows or veggies. (Or, cotton or feed crops.) Gonna be an interesting year.

If I ever did move to Texas, I would first need to check average temps in different parts of the state and choose accordingly.

My friend actually wears a sweater when training in heat for tennis. He’s crazy! But he wins by outlasting everyone.

If there were even 0.001% AOC in the atmosphere all life on Earth would die of stupidity.

“ This site costs money to run and nobody cares about your damn weather in Texas”

There’s a very dangerous heat wave and it will get worse the next few days. Over 35 days no rain - more people die from heat than any other weather event 🤪
