Most of the earth’s surface is not solid., Why doesn’t our atmosphere sink to the solid floor of the ocean?

Do I really need to spell this out?
The sun isn't a solid either is is a liquid from the nuclear core melting the solids into a liquid.
Which is how we see ripples when a solar flare takes place. in their words, "resembling ripples from a pebble thrown into a pond"
That isn't possible with a gas unless you believe in magic.
