Oswald was a Communist and thought Kennedy represented a threat to Cuba and to the Communist bloc and to his vision of the future. Or if you want to be psychological and look at subconscious motivations, Oswald thought he was a nobody. His life hadn’t gone where he wanted it to. His marriage was falling apart. He thought killing Kennedy would make him somebody — would make him a hero, or at least a name in the history books.
