I read a lot about the Uke/RU situation. Already the liberated areas are renouncing connection with Ukraine, people getting Russian passports, using rubles, etc. The eastern parts were Russia until 1922. History of course is very checkered in European countries. Borders have changed all the time. Kiev was the capital of Russia in the historical past.
