Does any conservative here even care about “monkey pox”? Nope.

I had to take my elderly dad (99 yo!) to an urgent care facility yesterday due to a puncture wound he inflicted on himself messing around Tuesday. While we were waiting for the doc, dad mumbled “Hope we don’t get ‘Monkey Pox’ now, too”. I asked him to repeat that (to make sure I was hearing him correctly) & he did. I then told him “Well, I don’t think you have to worry about that unless you plan on having sex with other men!” He almost fell out of his wheel chair. It was pretty funny in a way, but I need to do some education with him about this .... he watches FOX all the time, not sure why he thinks he would be at risk for monkey pox ... not sure FOX is making it clear just who represents most of the monkey pox cases & who is at risk. It’s NOT my 99 yo dad (or anyone else I personally know).
Won’t be an issue until we start seeing the colored charts of deaths over regular deaths along an annual time line.
