Re: “Mushrooms”
Russia brags about having 6500 nukes:
I ask, how many of those 6500 are strategic ICBMs with MRV capability, and how many are battlefield tactical weapons?
Considering the majority of Russia’s “conventional” war equipment, which Putin has used to invade Ukraine, is absolute junk, I have to wonder how much of Russia’s nuclear deterant is actually operational, having the abilty to even be launched, nevermind successfully reaching the target and actually detonating.
I thing the Russians are full of crap - “all hat and no cattle” - when it comes to their nuclear weapons capabilities.
Let’s find out then. A Lee Enfield rifle from the Boer War found in your grandfather’s attic that still shoots is junk, but it still shoots.
Nuclear weapons require frequent and expensive maintenance in order to stay operational.
Looking at Russian weapons performance so far as a whole, it looks like maintenance of anything has not been a priority
It’s obvious you don’t know much about today’s Russian technology. To pick just one category, how many hypersonic missiles do we have? What defenses do we have against them? Do the Russians have battlefield tested hypersonics? What are the strategic consequences for the West? What are the consequences for our carrier battle groups?
