Well, Bruce Campbell the difference being, obviously, that if, then, Donald Trump lost the money...it was gone. Whether it was his dad’s or his. It was personal wealth that had been acquired and was lost.

If Musk had fallen on his face, it was someone else’s money, the taxpayer, and it would be gone from the taxpayers bank account and absolutely ZERO accountability.

A big giant OOOPSIE!!!!

Kind of like, I take out a loan for something and I lose it all and I still have to pay it back.

OR....

I get taxpayer money, lose it all, walk away and NOTHING. I’m responsible for NOTHING. A shoulder shrug and See Ya!

I'm not supporting the idea of government subsidies. I'm simply saying that the availability of such subsidies is not a ticket to being a multi-billionaire. If it was you, I, Trump, or anyone reading this thread could have taken advantage of those exact same subsidies and become the richest man in the world. Why didn't we?

Clearly must have some technological and business acumen most of us couldn't even dream of. To denigrate all of his success for pure spite, the way Trump did, makes Trump look small, not Musk.

On top of that, it's pretty stupid to needlessly make an enemy out of the richest man in the world, who could self fund a political action committee for one of Trump's opponents with the change in his pocket.
