I honestly don’t understand either and the PA’ s pat answer sounded like a cover our butts answer. I knew something was odd, the pain in my palm area was terrible. So I have a scar about 5” from my wrist joint down (up?? Lol) in my inner arm. Then at the wrist, she angled an inch at that lifeline ? Wrinkle? Like she poked and pried under that muscle. Probably checking tendons.

I’m just curious more than anything.

I see what you’re saying now. Yeah, they probably had to do something with the carpal tunnel tendons. When i severed a tendon on the back of my hand, they had to make an additional incision 1.5 inches long to go under the skin halfway up my forearm to retrieve the other end of the tendon. And the fun part about that was I was awake for the entire surgery.
