Black women say they are invisible in abortion rights fight. 'We are still forgotten within all of this'
CNN ^ | July 9, 2022 | Nicquel Terry Ellis, CNN

(CNN)For many Black women, the reversal of Roe v. Wade last month not only stripped them of bodily autonomy, but created another barrier to economic security and choosing the course of their future.

For 49 years, women have had the right to terminate a pregnancy without needing to justify it, giving some a chance to pursue their educational goals, career aspirations and start families when they were in stable situations.

This has especially benefited Black women who continue to fight for an equal place in the US. Black women are three times more likely than White women to die of pregnancy-related complications; encounter racism from health care providers at higher rates; face unequal pay; and are more likely than their White counterparts to lack health insurance.

Now advocates say millions will lose access to abortion care because their state has restricted it and they can't afford to travel for the procedure.

CNN spoke with five Black women about their decision to get an abortion in the past and why they say the fall of Roe v. Wade could have devastating consequences.

Something to think about...

If black women still voted in large enough numbers to keep Dems in power, Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections and engage in extorting votes.

What Deep State is saying to pro-choice voters, of every color, is vote for us or we won’t fix this.

Or is setting up abortion as the reason for their victory to cover for another election steal.

I’d argue that the fact that Deep State needs to do this is a good sign.

Voters of every skin color are wising up.

Between gangs killing each other and black WOMEN gleefully killing their babies pretty soon there be a very minimum black component to America-JUST like the hooded KKK and Jim Crow writing dems and Margaret Sanger wanted.

Dems STILL run the inner cities like the plantations.-terrible education, dilapidated housing, minimal healthcare, broken families and no hope of ever escaping. Right dems? Kenneth Stamp’s Book “The Peculiar Institution”. Here is a short (under 3 min) history of dems creating slavery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYHED3dR214

In the name of Equity, all black women should have as many abortions as they want.

Black women have a right to birth control...unless they claim immaculate conception...there is no excuse for unwanted pregancy.

“...to pursue their educational goals, career aspirations and start families when they were in stable situations by KILLING their babies!

Cross those legs and you will have no reason to contemplate an abortion.

ABORTION IS MURDER.

Most of the PP/abortion clinics are in high black community populations as intended to wipe out black families.

Yes, lot of woman use abortion as birth control. It was abused.

“immaculate conception”

You are thinking of the “virgin birth”, though the two do go together in Catholic doctrine.

Black women are more like 7% of the population. Men do not get abortions.

You know, if Planned Parenthood opened a grocery section in their locations, that might help mitigate the “food dessert” issue. Just connecting some dots here.

Poor black women don’t get it that hey are Margaret Sanger’s main target in her eugenics program.

“Black women say they are invisible in abortion rights fight.”

Really? Black women were the primary targets in abortion.

Just ask Margaret Sanger...

Black women say they are invisible in abortion rights fight.

Maybe if you hadn't allowed the Democrats to convince you to abort over half of your babies, there would be a lot more of you to make a statement.

The fact that the party you keep voting against is the one who's fighting for your right to be born and live is completely lost on you.

= = =

So I need to get pregnant to pursue my goals, etc.?

This does not make sense. Nothing about it makes sense. Duh.
