I would love to see a remake of Popeye. I think Jeremy Renner would make a great Popeye with Liam Neesom as his old man. Not a musical remake though although the 1980 Robin Williams version was terrific, but it should be more fantasy/action-adventure though. And the Sea Hag should be the villain, not Bluto.

In 1988, I bought a comic book at my college’s bookstore called “Mondo Popeye.” It was funny as hell, putting Popeye, Olive Oyl and Bluto in these modern-world situations. As for the Sea Hag, she was running a predatory corporation.
