I think it’s possible that, over time, abortion could really become the state/local issue that the majority opinion in Dobbs correctly sees it as. In which case, it will cause the issue to lose potency at the national level
At minimum, Republicans need to commit to keeping pro-life legislation at state level for the next 2.5 years, since the Presidency is going to be controlled by Biden or Harris for the next 2.5 years.
I don’t need Republicans in Congress to make a show of pro-life legislation that they know will not become law while Biden or Harris control the Presidency, and I passionately oppose any pro-abortion legislation at national level and recognize that some Republicans in Congress would sign onto pro-abortion legislation if they believed they could get away with that.
