Stalin preferred the Kuomintang at least initially. Chang Kai-Shek’s son was a guest\student\hostage courtesy of Stalin from 1925 to 1937. While there he married a Russian Faina Vakhreva. When war with Japan was imminent in 1937, he returned to China. Later the USSR backed Mao, Stalin loathed Mao therefore only reluctantly switched support.

When I say Stalin deemphasized support for international communism it's in contrast to Trotsky. I didn't say he ended it. It was useful as an additional tool in the USSR's war with the West. This is what your documentation shows. However, in contrast to Trotsky it was subordinate to Russia\USSR's interest always to be controlled by Moscow not in the interest of the local revolutionaries. Again, your document trail shows Moscow's control. Trotsky & Trotskyites claim local control, local interest, but they're communists and probably lying. However, that's what they claim!

I agree with you.

Stalin wasn’t on the same page as Lenin, as proven when he had Trotsky hunted down and murdered in Mexico City.
