Those ladders are fairly heavy and unwieldy even for a person accustomed to setting them up. He appears to be a tiny little guy, with none of the muscle development necessary to heft it up to the first stage, let alone carry it very far.

Oh, please. He is a young MALE (you know, the sex with the superior strength that should theoretically prevent him from competing with women?) My extension ladder, which I can still carry around and set up with ease, weighs around 44 lbs. I just used it again last week. And I’m a “slightly built” 67 y/o woman.
