I have a buddy who is an MD & does all the annual cerification physicals for commercial pilots in our area.

I seem to remember (in a former existence as a truck driver)...had one "report to the nearest medical office" on your route.
Was a drug test and a physical...lifting and push strengths...climbing steps....bending down....and lifting a heavy suitcase....color vision and hearing test.
