Bless you for that! When we were trying to re-home some feral kittens we found, you wouldn’t believe the weirdos that contacted us. In the end, we kept them all. We were looking for people who would treat them at least as well as we did, or even better.
One lady even said that they weren’t going to feed the kitten, but stick it in the barn to hunt. Sorry ... no.
I wish I could keep them all!! My hubby isn’t thrilled with that idea. If I hadn’t found this rescue that I’ve heard about before and trust them to find good homes, I’d keep them vs letting people here have them. We have the same weirdos! At least yours were honest and told you that they would be horrible pet parents. I worried about people lying and fooling me.
It’ll be about $800 for the health certificates and feline leukemia testing and the transport. That’s above what I’ve spent on vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchipping. It’s worth it, but I can’t keep doing this, unfortunately. Our shelter is full and turning away animals.
