Mrs. abb & I often vacation close to the area where this happened. We go to PC Beach, in Bay County, about 15 miles east of Watercolor/Seaside. PC Beach is still kind of middle class, but all of South Walton is high dollar stuff. I mean HIGH dollar. Unlike Destin, Ft Walton, and PC Beach, South Walton has an element of liberalism. They all ride bicycles, eat at food trucks, have “art festivals,” etc. You can tell by looking.
In the early/mid 2000’s property values skyrocketed. By the late 2000s, during the recession, area property values declined and some good values were available. It looks like Huckabee took advantage of the opportunity, and now that values are high, he sold.
Buy low, sell high. Works every time it’s tried.
That’s right; good for him. And now he’s headed back to Arkansas.
