Agree on the others. But did you know the word “reckon” originated in Scotland? And I mean reckon as in “to assume or conclude,” not the British reckon meaning to add up. I reckon that’s due to all those Jacobite Scotsmen immigrating into the Carolinas and then migrating further inland.
