They're not allowing anything. They are directing it. And the only reason is to bring down gas prices somewhat in time for the mid-terms. Joe has no say in the matter.

And if 'they' prevail in November, back to the grist mill. I have to admit that I have a sense of foreboding about the November elections being honest; so few of the 2020 atrocities have been legally corrected. The citizens will have to demand honest elections and in Philly it was the citizens that encouraged cheating.
Citizens are so poorly educated today (the complete failure of the education system) that they have no idea about the source of their freedoms and how the Constitution protects them.
When SCOTUS returned abortion to the states it was a good thing for both sides. The 'pro-choice' side claims a majority so go to the ballot box and if you win no one can complain. Same with the SCOTUS opinion regarding the EPA not having the authority to pass oppressive regulations, canceling out whole industries. The population goes apoplectic, like the sky is falling. The court said that the people's elected representatives should (take responsibility - har har) pass such laws.
People have no idea how their freedoms were institutionalized. They think a dictatorial mandate for what they want is 'democratic'. A pox on educators! Now all they want is access to the children's minds and bodies.
