Yup, we have internet (fiber optic)...I must have my internet. Since we need a landline I can’t justify the cost of purchasing a smartphone and the monthly fee when we have a working phone, albeit old fashioned actual telephone. I will mention to my husband the option of wi-fi calling, he likes to look into such things. Thanks for the info.
My phone service costs ~$100 per year. I occasionally text. Some phone. Rarely internet. The phone was free as I recall.

we replaced our landline with magic jack and connected landline phones all over the house. the cost is minimal. it only needs an internet connection, not a computer.
The replacement afforded the luxury of a cell phone bill..
