“DaKine” is the Hawaiian version of “y’all”. Everybody knows what you mean. My favorite is “dakine dakine”-—that means it’s really serious and sometimes quite technical. As a certified descendant of dirt farming TexOkies who spent quite some time in Hawaii I am qualified to mangle both langwidges.
