Billie Joe Armstrong said this in England where…checks notes…abortion is legal up to 24 weeks but must be approved by 2 different doctors who both say giving birth would cause the woman more trauma than termination, and after 24 weeks only in very specific cases. So he is moving to the UK, he says.

…As opposed to Oakland, CA, where Armstrong lives, now, where you can get an abortion up to 23 weeks (viability) without having to get anyone’s permission, and if you’re a minor you don’t even have to tell your parents. After viability, it’s only available in specific cases.

Also, only up to 10 weeks in Northern Ireland and, in Scotland, there are no facilities that will abort as late as 24 weeks, so you have to travel to England.

So I guess Billie Joe wants to live where abortion rights are more restrictive?
