California expecting influx of abortion patients, but out-of-state legal questions remain Legal experts tell KCRA 3 courts in different states will come up with different judgements regarding out-of-state abortions

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

While the U.S. Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, abortion rights in California will still be intact. But how will clinics be able to handle the huge influx of women from other states where abortion access is either banned or severely restricted?

Cheri Greven with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte said in the days and weeks ahead, their clinics will start seeing a large number of patients. They are getting ready to serve women from around 26 states, who are expected to come to California seeking abortions.

"California could see an influx of 3,000% patients from out of state,” Greven said. “So, you're looking at well over a million patients coming into California."

Greven said they saw the writing on the wall, so they are prepared to take in an additional 250-500 patients each week. Greven added that is possible due in large part to their efforts to expand the workforce.

"Our goal has always been to train more abortion providers, contract with more outside abortion providers that can come in and fill a gap if needed,” Greven said.

They are also adding more resources to their health centers, especially those near major transportation hubs such as Sacramento, San Jose and Oakland. Greven said they want to make sure local patients do not deal with longer-than-normal wait times.

I hope this incentivizes tens, or even hundreds of thousands of leftists to move from states like Texas, Idaho, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona, etc back to CA. Keep all of the far left nutjobs, as well as the illegal migrants they support, contained in a single geography so their damage can be limited.

Don't forget North Carolina. Maybe people will stop moving to Raleigh now.

There's nopt even 1,000,000 surgical abortions per year nationwide. Crazy, made up numbers.

Since 1972, there have been more than 63,000,000 abortions per published numbers.

Do the math.

Additionally, published news reports yesterday cited that 1 in 5 pregnancies ended with murdering the child in utero (abortion.)

Tell me again 1,000,000 abortions a year is a crazy, mixed up number. Do the math.

It is unfair to make poor black women pay to travel to other states to commit their murders.

Watch CA and other states subsidize their trips.

Eugenics—same as it always was.

Abortion Tourism
Latest industry for some states.
I can’t wait to see the commercials & ads.

Already happening here in HELLINOIS. JB PRICKSTER is already touting HELLINOIS as the Midwest's abortion destination with many of the states around us banning abortion (WI, IA, MO, KY, and likely Indiana.)

It's sickening.

I know the math. Surgical abortions were over 1.5 million for a long time. Now they are well under 1,000,000/year regardless of source for the data (e.g.: Guttmacher, CDC, etc.). There are a lot of reasons for this. Some of this is because of the success of crisis pregnancy centers, existing legal restrictions in some states, changing demographics, and unfortunately, the expansion of chemical abortions.

I was already familiar with the math, and I was also familiar with current data, which are available for all.

It has already happened in the 1970s. I was living in Los Angeles and got a call from a friend in Texas. She was a chaperone for a plane full of pregnant women flying to LA to get an abortion (illegal in Texas). The PG women flew in on Friday, stayed in a hotel Friday night, were shuttled to an abortion clinic on Saturday, stayed in the hotel that night, and flew back home Sunday ... over 100 at a time. I suspect it was organized by Planned Parenthood.
