There is nothing wrong with your AC. Do not attempt to adjust the temperature.

True, but not needed.

A Basic AC condenser has ground, L1 & L2 power, 24 vac (cooling) and neutral lines.
NOTHING MORE.

A woodpecker can peck a hole in your condenser coil and your blower will keep spinning...

The 24vac controls the contactor at the condenser and does the heavy lifting.

Thanks I will be ordering this item to replace my 2-3 year old RockPal for my Cpap

BLUETTI Portable Power Station EB3A, 268Wh LiFePO4 Battery Backup w/ 2 600W (1200W Surge) AC Outlets, Recharge from 0-80% in 30 Min., Solar Generator for Outdoor Camping (Solar Panel Optional)

Hopefully, my Rockpal 60 W Solar panel will work. I don’t care if it take 8 hours.

Thanks again for an excellent suggestion/alternative.

Dave

I like the specs on that Bluetti unit, for its price, except that it doesn’t seem to
be one of their Pure Sine Wave versions. Your 60 watt panel should charge it, as
these units tend to have boost circuits in them to bring the voltage of even a 12
volt panel up to their designed charging voltage. That unit could probably
handle a parallel 2nd 60 watt panel to help it get back to a full charge faster.

Its fast recharge time on AC indicates that it will probably work well as an
uninterruptible power supply for common CPAP machines. (Meaning that
it seems to have a big enough charging circuit to keep up with a 50W or
less device easily.)

Thanks for your excellent reply earlier.

I was about to order a replacement for my Rockpals CPap rescue unit/battery backup.

This Bluetti unit will be better and safer.

A CPap battery power saving option is to use the 12 Volt outlet from the rescue battery with a special adaptor plug/link to the CPap machine. That worked for 3 nights with my current CPap machine during a 3 night blackout.

Using the DC output to drive the CPAP when possible is MUCH more efficient,
and avoids the pure sine wave issue as well.

Good move.

The security, we CPap users get from these auto back up batteries will become even more important as our power supplies become more fragile.

Years ago, I bought an extra 12 volt car battery and have a converter to AC. It is noisy and needs to be recharged, once a month.

These small battery packs are excellent for those of us with CPaps.

Going straight DC opens other options.

I’m not a CPAP user myself, but I have one of these 266 watt hour Renogy
batteries that runs a little 10 liter car freezer all day long.

It has no AC inverter, but it has a 60 watt PD type C input/output port,
a 150 watt max 12 volt cigarette lighter socket, a 12 volt input output port,
plus regular USB and USB C ports, wireless phone charging and a nice light.

It would probably also run a CPAP in “UPS” mode while being charged with a good 60 watt PD charger and type C cable. It also has the ability to change its 12 volt output to 16.5, 20, or 24 volts, for powering laptops, etc. but it always defaults to 12 volts.

About 9x5x2 inches and 2.5 pounds.

If I need a little bit of 110V AC out of that 266wh Renogy battery,
I plug one of these into it:

(Don’t try to pull more than 150 watts at once from that battery with it.)

Thanks for the info on the Bluetti EB3A. I just ordered one from Amazon at a good price:

50$ off of the $300 and some other minor discounts and my $’s back for a $226/total to my door. It will arrive on Wed or Thu of this week.

We have 2 hvac units. One is for quote our entertainment area, maybe a few hours a week. The temp is set by a hand control thermostat and stays at 62 unless we are entertaining. Then, it goes to 70.

For the rest of our life (98%), where we live, eat, sleep, shower and use electronic gear is controlled by a NEST.

The NEST turns off whatever heating/cooling, we need at bedtime and comes on auto if needed at 6 am. We get up at 7 am and go to bed about 9:30 pm.

It also works with my cell phone or my wife’s. We keep it at 62 when we are away and back up 68 about 39 minutes before we come home.

Our PG&E bills are about 50%-60% lower than neighbors with similar homes. We just received our June combo bill, and our gas and electric total was $105. Some neighbors had $600 bills.

One family which runs their system 24/7 had a $1200 bill. Their home is next to ours and faces the same directions, and it is about 500 less square foot than ours.
