Oh, you mean like we should be electing more lawyers turned career politicians, most of which never worked in the private sector. Lets get back to where we were in the 40 years leading up to the Trump era. Brilliant!
Oh, you mean like we should be electing more lawyers turned career politicians, most of which never worked in the private sector.
In 2016 Trump promised to balance the budget, build the border wall, lock up Hillary Clinton, get us out of Afghanistan, appoint pro-life Supreme Court justices, and cut taxes. He built 458 miles of border wall along a 1,954 mile border and appointed the pro-life Supreme Court justices. The rest of it never materialized, in spite of the fact that the Rats did not gain control of Congress until 2018.
For someone who's not a career politician Trump does a very good job of behaving like one. He overpromises and underdelivers. And let's not forget his talking out of both sides of his mouth on the COVID vax whereas Paul and DeSantis's positions have never wavered. If Trump is the nominee in 2024 I will vote for him. But he would not be my first choice in the primary.
If private sector experience made for good politicians then Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg would be the best presidential candidates of all.
