The Pentagon Announces It Will Refuse to Follow Any State Laws Restricting Abortion Access

The Pentagon has made the announcement that it will refuse to recognize any abortion laws springing from the Supreme Court’s decision that there is no guaranteed right to abortion in the U.S. Constitution.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III issued a statement on on Friday regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

“Nothing is more important to me or to this Department than the health and well-being of our Service members, the civilian workforce and DOD families,” the Pentagon chief announced. “I am committed to taking care of our people and ensuring the readiness and resilience of our Force. The Department is examining this decision closely and evaluating our policies to ensure we continue to provide seamless access to reproductive health care as permitted by federal law.”

Could make an interesting court case, though I suspect that states don’t have jurisdiction for most matters on federal property. Can the military violate state law freely?

Another redline being crossed?

I believe we’re seeing quite a few redlines being crossed, with these Supreme Court rulings, when government officials are vowing to ignore them.

Rogue government for all to see.

:::::.....evaluating our policies to ensure we continue to provide seamless access to reproductive health care.....:::::

Austin, like many on the left, uses euphemisms to describe the dismemberment and killing of a fetus as "reproductive healthcare". The care of the health of a fetus is never the concern.

Practically speaking, what effect if any will this have? Is the Pentagon currently in the business of providing abortions?

So if the DOD with this statement signifies, they are not going to obey a direct order from the Supreme Court. Would that not go against a chain of command thingie? I am asking for a fren cause I HAVE no idea...
well i have ideas...but this may be why certain high level people an almost all govt agencies are corrupt this is certainly going to be interdasting to watch.
Maxine Waters yesterday said she would defy it ...that sounds like sedition to me...so we shall see !
