In the smaller communities here in Alaska it is not all that uncommon. I’m not a fan of furs; they are too difficult for me to convert. It just happened I was able to turn these into something more negotiable fairly quickly.

I’m more comfortable trading gold, silver, fish, venison or moose meat for goods and services informally. I think we are going to be doing more of that.

Ohio Booster Update:

Numbers come out on Thursdays. I couldn’t update last week due to being very busy working on the house.

Only 30K people got the 2nd booster the 2nd week in June.

I do not detect any sort of significant increase in the numbers who got the first booster. I believe 5-12 year olds recently became eligible for this.

The number showing of those who are 0-19 who are completely vaccinated is: 805K. They won’t change much tomorrow since the vaccine just became available to the under fives yesterday.

Delaware County is showing that 51.5% of those 0-19 are vaxxed with the first series and 8500 have gotten the first booster.

Franklin (Columbus) is at 34.5%, as is Summit (Cleveland suburbs). Hamilton (Cincy suburb) is at 30%, Cuyohoga (also Cleveland) at 33, as is Wood (BGSU faculty and staff). Lucas (Toledo) at 26% for the 0-19’s.
