Given the similarities and weights of gas engine oils and their additives I’m thinking this is solely to produce anxiety, chatter, and a run overall on 15W-40.
They can be run on the nearby weights and probably would just require more frequent services at the worst.
I use 15W-40 in my small gas engines.
