There is a town named Alton in Missouri but it is way down south in Oregon County, and obviously not the town of which the author writes. Maybe the author meant West Alton, the little Missouri town across the River from Alton, Illinois.
Yes, I am aware of Alton MO, we own property in Oregon county, MO where Alton MO is the county seat.
The street they name in the article is in Alton IL.
I suppose it is a minor thing but it just shows how facts don’t matter to “journalists” anymore.
