Does this go along with Soros’s buying the Latino stations?

Living only 140 miles south of Indy I have noticed I can pick up AM radio stations for miles around in neighboring states but virtually nothing out of Indianapolis.

Just always seemed strange to me.

WIBC is a strong number two in the Indianapolis market. If Urban One wants to blow up a very successful station, go ahead. I’m guessing they will keep the current format, or sell the station to another group. IHeart owns five stations in the market. They could swap their hip hop station for WIBC and pay a little cash, since WIBC is worth far more than WZRL, the rap station they’d be selling.

Radio is a dying medium in general. Can’t make money with it.

One local full-power FM sold to a religious broadcaster that operates on a non-profit basis.

When the Univision radio stations in New York got sold to the Soros backed group one FM not wanted by that group went to a religious broadcaster Family Radio a non-profit.
