Honestly, the information on this is so spotty I can’t form a solid opinion on it one way or another. Personally, I don’t respect grave sites because the person is long gone. If I did, I might object to that monstrosity, but not file charges. But again, since I would never visit the grave site, I’d not care what the guy did to it.
This is me too. I was taught to believe the body is simply the vessel for the soul, and when it is cast off, it is simply a husk and the person who inhabited it has gone up to heaven and they care not about their earthly body.
