I love my country but currently I am more upset about what has happened to our family finances....I saved like crazy all my working life, a self funded 401k and have been in a conservative position for yrs....

and, its losing ground hand over foot....

so much for working the American way....

so much for work ethic, savings, investing, living a proper life....

I hear ya. If it’s any consolation, the markets have always recovered in the long run ... and eventually made new highs. It can take years, though, so I’m hoping you have a long runway. As they say in Latin, “Ad multos annos!”
