Hang on: It’s a ten yd bucket times 4,000 lbs /yd = 40,000 lbs per run. Times ten buckets / hr = 400,000 lbs / hour. Times 12 Hr = 4,800,000 lbs/ shift = nine batteries worth of dirt.

And don’t forget to count the dynamite it took to blow that dirt into a loose enough pile for the loader to grab it.

I’ll buy a lot of 5 dollar gas with the money I’ll not spend buying a Tesla that I can’t fit into anyway. And my big blocks don’t set my garage on fire.
